About Fran ...


Fran Kirmser is a Two-Time Tony Award Winning Broadway Producer, Dancer, co-Author of the book A Life In Dance and creator of Make Dance Your Business! She has helped facilitate the careers of thousands of dancers and artists over her 25- year career and has worked in Development for Martha Graham Dance Company, Shen Wei Dance Arts, DanceBrazil, Doug Varone and Dancers, Francesca Harper Project, Donna Uchizono, Lisa Giobbi, and JChen Project among others. Fran has a bachelor’s degree in Dance and Psychology and holds Executive Certificates in Business Law and Finance from Cornell University. She regularly teaches the Business of the Arts at Schools and Universities across the country including the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, STEPS on Broadway, Alvin Ailey/ Fordham University, Gibney Dance, University of Indiana, K-State, University of Hawaii, Elon University, among many others. In the last year during the pandemic, students of Fran’s courses have landed professional contracts for The Lion King, The Rockettes, multiple summer stock productions, Netflix series, Ballet Hispanico, Dance Theater of Harlem, Mark Morris Group and more.
